Key figures
Total revenue is planned at 395.4 billion denars, 5.7% more than in 2026, while total spending is projected at 440.4 billion denars, an increase of 4.8%. The budget deficit is forecast at 45 billion denars, or 3.5% of gross domestic product, in line with the Fiscal Strategy for 2027–2031. Revenue grows faster than spending, 5.7% versus 4.8%, in line with the goal of gradual consolidation.
The minister said the main goal is to ensure stable and sustainable public finances and continue gradual fiscal consolidation, while creating conditions for economic growth, investment and better living standards. According to her, the budget was drafted amid international economic uncertainty and external risks, so particular attention was paid to realistic projections and efficient spending.
Roads and railways
Alongside capital investment from the budget, major infrastructure projects such as Corridors 8 and 10D will continue in 2027 through NPRRSH. The list also includes sections of the Kičevo–Bukojčani, Kičevo–Ohrid and Skopje–Blace highways, upgrades to local roads, and the construction and modernization of railways, including the eastern section of Corridor 8 and the Tabanovce rail border crossing.
Meanwhile, procedures on the revised 2026 budget are continuing in Parliament.
