The uncertainty surrounding the Partizani–Skënderbeu match, part of Week 8 of the Abissnet Superiore, has been cleared up. According to the FSHF app, the game will be played Saturday, Oct. 24, at 1:30 p.m. at Vora's stadium, at the same time as the Laçi–Vora match.
For the Reds, this stadium brings back bitter memories, as they suffered a 1-4 defeat there against Vora last week. Partizani are last with only 4 points after seven weeks and have conceded 17 goals. Coach Mislav Karoglan is demanding a reaction from his players and is seeking his first win on the Partizani bench.
The season's first Klasikja
Also on Saturday, at 6:30 p.m., the “Loro Boriçi” stadium in Shkodra hosts the season's first Klasikja, Vllaznia–Tirana. Vllaznia published a photo of striker Bekim Balaj with the match details, turning him into a symbol of the clash. Balaj once wore Tirana's white-and-blue shirt in the 2011–2012 season, when he won two Cups and a Super Cup, scoring 20 goals in 47 matches.
The week's program also includes Teuta–Elbasani on Saturday at 6:30 p.m., while on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Dinamo host Egnatia at the Elbasan Arena.
Daja closes the Dinamo chapter
Meanwhile, Glen Daja made his departure from Dinamo official on social media Tuesday evening, after about two years as assistant to coach Ilir Daja. He thanked President Ardian Bardhi, the staff and the players, writing that Dinamo had been “more than a workplace.” According to sports media, all that remains is the official announcement of his appointment as Elbasani coach, which sets him up for a special league showdown with his father. Elbasani, left without a coach after Gvozdenović's resignation, returned to training this week for the match against Teuta.
