Ernest Muçi continues to be one of Trabzonspor's most important players. The Albania forward contributed to both goals in a 2-0 win over Gaziantep in Week 10 of the Turkish Super Lig, played on Sunday at Papara Park.
The assist before the break
The first goal came in first-half stoppage time, in the 45+2 minute. After a corner cross from Salah, Muçi headed the ball to Savic, who put it in the net and gave Trabzonspor the lead before halftime, Top Channel reports.
The strike from distance
In the second half it was the Albanian himself who sealed the game. In the 61st minute, Muçi shot from distance to double the lead, with a goal Top Channel described as spectacular. Gaziantep failed to score and the three points stayed in Trabzon, where Trabzonspor closed out Week 10 with a clean sheet.
Top Channel calls Muçi a “factory” of goals and assists and one of the stars of the Turkish league this season. Sunday's performance comes shortly before the national team's matches: Albania host Finland at the Air Albania Stadium on Nov. 12 and play in Belarus on Nov. 15 in the Nations League, where they aim to defend first place in Group C1.
In the day's other matches in Turkey, Besiktas won 2-1 at Kasimpasa with goals from Trossard and Vlahovic, while Basaksehir beat Samsunspor 5-2 and Amed SFK won 5-1 against Eyupspor with three goals from Ballet.
