In brief

  • Le Havre went ahead through Josh Maja, but PSG then scored five straight goals, three of them by Achraf Hakimi.
  • Elye Wahi scored two penalties and another goal in Nice's 5-2 win over Rennes.
  • Olivier Giroud came off the bench to give Lille a 1-0 win in the derby against Lens.

Achraf Hakimi was the undisputed star of Friday in Ligue 1. The Moroccan defender scored three goals and provided two assists in Paris Saint-Germain's 5-1 win at Le Havre's Stade Océane. The hosts took the lead in the 18th minute, when Josh Maja scored from close range after a fast break and a pass from Rayan Fofana.

Five goals in a row

The equalizer came in the 26th minute from Mika Godts, set up by Hakimi, who two minutes later put PSG ahead himself with a shot from the right side of the box after a pass from Senny Mayulu. In the second half the Moroccan scored from a free kick in the 55th minute, set up Mayulu for 4-1 in the 62nd and completed his hat trick in the 69th. Two minutes later he was replaced by David Boly.

Wahi and Giroud

In Nice, Elye Wahi led a 5-2 win over Rennes: he converted two penalties, in the 12th and 34th minutes, set up Jonathan Clauss's goal at the end of the first half and scored again in the 73rd minute. Mohamed Amoura added the fourth, while Sebastian Szymanski, with a header, and Boulaye Dia, from the spot, scored for Rennes.

In the northern derby, Lille beat Lens 1-0 thanks to Olivier Giroud. The veteran striker, on as a substitute, scored with a left-footed shot from the center of the box in the 86th minute of a match that had been goalless until then.

The round continues over the weekend with the rest of the French league fixtures.
