Daja debuts with a point against the leaders
In the day's other match, Teuta and Elbasani played out a goalless draw in Durrës. Both sides created chances, but neither found the net. It was Glen Daja's first match on the Elbasani bench, where he arrived after leaving Dinamo and where he had said he was aiming for three points in Durrës.
The draw lets Teuta keep first place with 20 points, while Elbasani move to 8 points. For Tirana, the defeat in Shkodra leaves the capital side well off the top, nine points behind Teuta, while Vllaznia earn a weighty win after a difficult start to the season.
Round 8 had begun earlier in the day with Skënderbeu's 2-0 win over Partizani and Laçi's 1-0 success against Vora. Partizani remain bottom of the table with only 4 points after five straight defeats, while Skënderbeu climb to sixth place with 9 points.
