In brief

  • Vllaznia is fined 50,000 lek for objects thrown onto the pitch by fans; Sopoti is also penalized.
  • Andri Cara (Dinamo City) is suspended for five matches, Mario Bytyçi and Klodian Arbri for four each, for unsporting behavior toward referees.
  • Naim Halilaj of Laçi's U-17 side gets a 20,000-lek fine and a six-match ban from all FSHF activities.

The Disciplinary and Ethics Commission of the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) has issued its latest rulings, with Vllaznia among the clubs penalized. The Shkodra side was fined 50,000 lek after its fans threw objects onto the field of play. KF Sopoti was also penalized for the same offense, although the announcement does not specify the amount of the fine for the Librazhd club.

Suspended officials

The heaviest sanction for an official of a top-flight club went to Andri Cara of FC Dinamo City, who was suspended for five matches for unsporting behavior toward match officials. On the same grounds, the commission suspended KF Tërbuni's Mario Bytyçi and FK Tomori's Klodian Arbri for four matches each.

A separate sanction was handed down in the youth categories. Naim Halilaj, an official of KF Laçi's U-17 team, was fined 20,000 lek and banned for six matches from any activity organized by the FSHF for repeated unsporting behavior toward referees. Under the ruling, Laçi is jointly liable for paying its official's fine.

The rulings come as the Superliga enters a congested week, with the 9th round played on Wednesday and Thursday. The freshly penalized Vllaznia go first: they play at Vora on Wednesday at 13:30. Dinamo City, Andri Cara's club, will take the field on Thursday at 13:30 in the derby against Tirana at the Niko Dovana stadium in Durrës.
